Wilson-Fish Data Summit

A small group of Wilson-Fish Program Directors will join ORR and ISED in identifying data elements to be tracked in 2010.  The day and a half meeting in Washington, to be held at One Washington Circle Hotel, will bring together Becky Jordon/Kentucky; Donna Magnusson/South Dakota; Jan Reeves/Idaho; and Paul Stein/Colorado.  These W-F State Coordinators will work with ORR's Carl Rubenstein and ISED's Jan Losby to finalize what has been a multi-year effort to develop and to field test outcome indicators that measure the extent to which refugees are achieving self-sufficiency.   One of the key questions with which this group continues to consider is whether self-sufficiency, as it is defined now,  is a meaningful measure and whether it will be possible to define additional meaningful measures.
